FLEETWOOD RV CUSTOMER WARNING (Updated Nov. 2009):

"THE BAD NEWS": A short note about Fleetwood RV from my personal experiences dealing with them..... Fleetwood RV is probably the best made RV for the price, but it appears it has the worst Warranty service. Issues become a struggle, then a nightmare. Finally, they won't fix things to your complete satisfaction! Simply put, they do not stand behind their product. Other Fleetwood owners, either current or previously, that I have encountered, stated the same Warranty problems dealing with Fleetwood. So be prepared for a hassle.

Of recent, I have encountered previous Fleetwood employee(s) during our travels and was clearly told that Fleetwood has little or no "Quality Control" in the manufacturing process and primarily relies on the local "Dealer" to resolve problems that arise within the 1 year warranty period. After that you are just S#it out of luck!

In March 2009, Fleetwood Enterprises of Riverside, CA filed for bankruptcy and is dissolving the company by selling all of it's assets. The entire Fleetwood RV division has been sold July 2009 to a private capital investment firm. They have established Elkhart, IN as it's headquarters and moved all needed equipment there to manufacturer RV's.

All the other plants in US have been shut down for good and personnel laid off. The Fleetwood Enterprises stock share price from once a high of $47 about 10 years ago is now worth $0.006.

In addition, the Company/Board of Trustees are facing a massive class action lawsuit. It may sound like another "ENRON" scheme in the making. Only time will tell.
